Project Description

FlightSafety International Flight Training Facility, Farnborough, UK (PDF)

One of the many worldwide Flight Training Centres operated by FlightSafety International is located at Farnborough Airport, Hampshire, in the UK.

The facility houses 15 Full Flight Simulators with ancillary accommodation including computer rooms, briefing rooms, hydraulic rooms, crew lounges, hospitality areas and 27 training Classrooms.

Training is provided for corporate and regional, fixed and rotary wing aircraft such as Hawker, Gulfstream, Cessna, Bombardier and Sikorsky.

The design of the building follows FlightSafety International’s corporate philosophy. Construction techniques include pre-cast insulated concrete sandwich panels which whilst being inherently robust also deal with acoustic attenuation on a busy airport site.
