etc Architects were commissioned to provide a full design team service for new teaching facilities, admin offices and a 2 court sports hall at Bramford Primary School, Dudley. The resourcefully completed design meets the Sport England design criteria but also had to overcome many issues including, poor ground conditions, existing culvert watercourses and main high pressure fuel pipelines. The sports hall facility incorporates 2 full sized badminton courts, male and female changing rooms and associated storage. A separate single storey teaching block is an extension to the main school buildings and provides 6 classrooms, head teachers office, business managers office, main school reception and toilets. The building was constructed using vibro foundation techniques, a suspended concrete floor slab and a brick clad timber frame.
