Project Description
The Lichfield and Burntwood Vocational Education Facility for 14-19 year old learners has been carefully designed and sited to complement both the college buildings and the site disposition being specifically equipped to deliver diplomas in construction, engineering and hair and beauty. The full height glazed main entrance provides a monitored single point of entry leading to a central open courtyard hub from which all departments are accessed. The frontage to the hair salon positioned alongside the main entrance is designed to attract potential clients as well as provide a real learning environment for students. Along with the Hair & Beauty departments there are also, Construction Trades including trowel, joinery and decorating/electrical/plumbing booths, a student Chill Out and Eat Zone, Admin Offices, together with first floor Engineering Workshop, IT Resource Centre, Toilets, General Teaching Classroom, and further Student/Staff Break Out space.
