Project Description
Four surgery contemporary private dental practice within a completely refurbished and extended former office building. Cross infection control was crucial to the design and spatial layout of surgeries and clinical areas. This achieved by complete separation of patient and clinical staff areas together with double access storage walls at rear of each surgery. Other accommodation includes; decontamination area, x-ray and nurses rooms, hotel style patient toilet, double height entrance reception with gallery landing, waiting room, skin treatment room, offices and staff facilities. The energy efficiency of the building envelope improved by internally insulating all existing external walls and increased levels of roof insulation. An air to air heat pump delivers an air conditioned environment to all surgeries and clinical areas with positively pressurised decontamination and clean storage areas to HTM 01-05. Integrated compressed air, vacuum wastes system, HDMI video, data and low energy daylight tube lighting provided to the four themed surgeries.
