Project Description
Following on from the successful completion of our first Flight Training Centre in Luton, UK for Flight Safety Boeing, etc Architects were commissioned to design Boeing's new centre at Gatwick. The aesthetics was influence greatly by the adopted corporate design requirements to enable Boeing clients to recognise the facility in relation to other worldwide training centres. The first phase of the training facility is approached through a faceted glazed entrance into a large reception area. The facility houses 4 full height simulators, CBT rooms, Briefing rooms, classrooms, computer rooms, customer lounge areas, administration offices and ancillary amenities. Since completion of Phase 1, two further phases have been completed to house 3 further simulators with associated facilities including one of the world's first Boeing 787 flight simulators. Etc Architects have since designed further flight training facilities in Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, Mumbai, Moscow and Poland.
