Schneider Electric approached etc Design Ltd via their preferred Contractor to assist in the relocation of their Training Centre from a site in Coventry to within an existing unused area within their Warehouse in Telford.

The area available was limited and therefore careful planning of space was essential to provide the necessary facilities for the company to carry out their training courses.

The solution was to install a two storey self-contained facility that was able to increase the number of courses offered as well as increase the number of training spaces by up to 40%. The new facility boasts a 280 sqm hands-on demonstration and training area with over 70 low, medium and high voltage switchgear products, connected in configurations that simulate real-world operational environments. There are three state-of-the-art 16-seater training rooms as well as a number of break out areas.

All Schneider Electric UK employees, including more than 450 based at the Telford site in Stafford Park, will now receive health and safety training at the facility.

etc Design Ltd were appointed to provide full architectural services from feasibility to completion, as part of a Design & Build contract.
